Messing up a saying

So speaking to a coworker (one that reads this site on occasion), she was requesting I do her a favor. I said I would to which she replied ‘I’m forever in your death’…..I knew what she was trying to say but I like to give her a hard time so now I’m wondering if I should do the favor since apparently it will result in my death….
