I agree with both Mr. and Mrs. Xpinionated....and as much as I hate to admit it, I agree with the president as well. If you want to be here, learn the language and don't expect handouts because you are a foreigner. I am not against legal immigrants coming to this country since that is how all of us ended up here, however, I am against those crossing the border or skipping out on a visa just to live a life here and take a job away from some American worker. It is very unfortunate to hear of instances where people are here on a legal visa and would like to continue to actually help people in our country when there are plenty of people that are only here for themselves or their families back home.

BTW - do you think all of Bush's "legal immigrant" workers speak English and sing the National Anthem in English as it was supposed to be sung????

I personally think that my husband is one of the funniest people I know. For those who know me, you all know how much I can't stand president Bush. And I hate to admit it, but like my husband I agree with the president on this issue. All in all, I think the issue is absurd! I also think it is ridiculous that now when I buy a box meal like Tuna Helper it has instructions in spanish. Are you kidding me? I personally feel that if you are going to live in this country you should be able to read and speak english. I understand if you have just moved here that you might not know the language, but I do expect you to take classes. I wouldn't move to France and not learn to speak french.
