It’s my pride

I have a damn pride thing that gets in the way at crucial times.  The latest incident is with my job search.  I typcially avoid networking because I don’t want to feel like I got a job because someone put a good word for me.  I also feel like I owe somebody something if they are instrumental in me landing a job.  Almost like when somebody buys me a drink, I instantly feel like I owe them something.

I just heard a coworker give feedback on another coworker’s resume.  I’ve been offered this gesture but have yet to take the guy up on it.  Maybe it’s time I suck my pride and do what needs to be done.  . . . . . . . . tomorrow
